SAMAL, Bataan – Two still unidentified motorcycle- riding gunmen shot dead in an ambush in a vicinal road here an official of a privately-owned papermill on his way to report for work Monday morning.
Police identified the victim as Ronald Parico, of Orani Bataan and management committee chief of Bataan 2020, a papermill company in Barangay Gugo here.
He was alone in the car.
The company where victim was to report for work at about 6:30 a.m. is more than a kilometer away from the ambush site in an upland sitio of Barangay Sapa, also in Samal.
One-half of the onelane road in the area is undergoing construction and so vehicles have to slow down.
Parico sustained two gunshot wounds on the forehead and portion of his face. Police investigators recovered three empty shells from a .45 pistol.
The victim was already lifeless while on the driver’s seat of the car with its engine still on when discovered.
The glass window and door of the car on the side of the driver were open.
Police said investigation was still going on.
