CLARK FREEPORT – A point-to-point (P2P) bus service is now operational between Sta. Maria, Bulacan and EDSA North Avenue, with just one stop in Malolos City.

Grace Joaquin, president of concessionaire Precious Grace Transport, said the P2@P service runs from Monday to Saturday.

She said her buses would ply routes from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the buses leaving at 30-minute intervals.

“The service is called point-to-point because the buses do not alight or board passengers except at its designated departure and destination points,” Joaquin explained.

Passengers from Bulacan have the Trinoma Mall at EDSA-North Avenue, while the end points in Bulacan are at Robinsons Place in Malolos and at the Flying V gasoline station at the Bypass Road in Sta. Maria. Fare is P80 for the EDSA-North Avenue and Malolos route, and P70 between Sta. Maria and Malolos.

The P2P is a project being pushed by the Department of Transportation to give commuters wider choices for more comfortable transport service.

It is also a move designed to attract more commuters and lessen the volume of cars and other private vehicles and thus lessen traffic and pollution problems.
