BALANGA CITY — The Bataan Police Provincial Office reported the arrest of two suspected drug peddlers and the confiscation of shabu worth P2.38 million and a .45 pistol during an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Mt. View in Mariveles, Bataan Monday.
Mariveles police chief Lt. Col. Joeylito Orias reported to Bataan police director Colonel Palmer Tria that the two suspects were considered high-value targets and known to be active in the illegal drug trade in the area.
Seized from the suspects during the buy-bust operation conducted by the Mariveles Police Station Drugs Enforcement Unit were five plastic sachets of shabu weighing more or less 350 grams, drug paraphernalia and the pistol with two rounds of live ammunition.
The suspects were placed under the custody of the said station and face charges for violation of RA9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
