Nolcom’s new chief assumes post

    ANGELES CITY – Maj. Gen. Jessie Dellosa formally assumed last Friday the top post of the Northern Luzon
    Command (Nolcom) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP ), replacing Lt. Gen. Gaudencio Pangilinan who retired from the service.

    Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin and Armed Forces Chief of Staff Gen. Eduardo Oban witnessed the change of command at the headquarters of Nolcom in Camp Aquino, Tarlac.

    The Nolcom is a unified armed forces command whose jurisdiction covers the Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Central Luzon regions.

    In his speech, Dellosa praised his predecessor and vowed to continue his legacy revolving around for the “daang matuwid” or straight path advocacy of Pres. Aquino.

    Dellosa is a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA ) “Matapat “ Class of 1979.

    Prior to this assignment, he served as commander of the Army’s 2nd Infantry Division , Deputy Commander of AFP Central Command and the Commandant of Cadets of the PMA.

    He was likewise designated as head of the 302nd Infantry Brigade, Chief of Staff of the 4th Infantry Division, Officer-In-Charge of the AFP Office of Ethical Standards and Public Accountability and Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations, G 3 of the 1st Infantry Division.
