OLONGAPO CITY — Commission on Election (Comelec) Officer IV Atty. Dictador V. Untayao proclaimed the new set of local government officials for this city at about 5:00 pm, Tuesday (May 14) at the Sangguniang Panglungsod Conference Hall.
Former vice mayor Rolen Paulino topped other mayorial candidates with 40,664 votes, second is Anne Marie Gordon, former Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Board of Director and wife to 1st District of Zambales Congressional candidate James Gordon Jr., with 27,648 votes and lastly, Bugsy Gordon Delos Reyes, brother of Senatorial candidate JC Delos Reyes, with 10,093 votes.
Incumbent vice mayor Rodel Cerezo still remain in his post topping other candidates Lugie Lipumano, Brian Gordon and Vic-Vic Magsaysay.
The new members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod are Tet Marzan, Edic Paino, Jong Cortez, BJ Gregorio Cajudo, Ellen Dabu, Noel Atienza, Winnie Ortiz, Edna Elane and Linus Bacay.
Paulino personally thanks the people for their overwhelming supports by going around the city, and flagging down jeepneys and tricycles shaking hands with the drivers and passengers along the streets.
Paulino broke the three-decade tenure of the Gordon clan at the Olongapo mayorship.
