BALER, Aurora (PIA) — The local community in Dingalan, Aurora now benefits from a new dialysis center that offers much-needed healthcare services to residents.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) constructed the 430-square-meter facility in Barangay Poblacion, equipping it with essential features such as a Reverse Osmosis Room, a Reprocessing Room, and private treatment areas to ensure patients receive quality care.

DPWH Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal stated that, before the project, residents had to travel to Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija for dialysis procedures, which he explained was not only time-consuming but also financially challenging, especially for those who required frequent sessions.

“With the completion of the Dingalan Health Center, people no longer have to endure long journeys and can access dialysis care within their hometown. This ensures that they can receive health services and treatment close to home,” Andal said.

The facility also includes modern amenities such as medical equipment, office furniture, air conditioning units, and a solar panel system, making it a sustainable and well-rounded healthcare hub for the community.

Funded under the 2024 national budget with a P14.85 million contract, the new facility aims to improve Dingalan residents’ quality of life by providing affordable healthcare and reducing the financial burden of travel for treatments. (CLJD/RPQ, PIA Region 3-Aurora)
