CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The newly designated director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Central Luzon vowed to strengthen the government’s ongoing war against illegal drugs.

Senior Supt. Lito Patay said he expects the people to fully cooperate with the police since this is a program of the government.“Sana makipagtulungan sila. Ito naman ay programa ng gobyerno at hindi naman ito para sa kapulisan kundi para na rin sa sambayanang Pilipino (I hope they will cooperate. Anyway, this is a program of the government and not for the police but for the Filipino people),” he said after paying a courtesy call on Gov. Lilia “Nanay Baby” G. Pineda at the Capitol on Monday.

Patay was previously assigned as chief of Station 6 at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City.

He assumed as chief of the CIDG regional office on September 15 replacing Supt. Edwin Quilatis under whose watch the CIDG Central Luzon was adjudged as the best in terms of performance.

Patay, who hails from Davao Del Norte, was accompanied by Public Safety Company chief Senior Supt. Mike Masangkay during his courtesy call with the governor.
