PHYSICAL BEAUTY is one of the major factors that contribute to our sense of wellbeing and self-confidence. Like inner beauty, it adds inner joy and brightness to the self.

Some others perceive physical beauty as superficialand almost like a curse than a blessing, which remindsme of Helen of Troy, the great beauty who launched a thousand ships to war.

For once, let us all agree and be honest to ourselves, that when we look good, we feel good.

It is crystal clear, that beauty care is important as health care, for both impact our mental and physical wellness.

Let me extend with delight, some of the simple and safe, natural beauty enhancer routines I use, for more than 30 years:

Face Care: for youthful skin, anti-aging

Mix a tablespoon of plain oatmeal with about 3tablespoons of hot milk (goats milk or evaporatedmilk), cover and wait until the oatmeal gets cooked and sticky, but not dry.

Cleanse your face and lie down comfortably. Apply the mixture using upward strokes with your hand, like a facial mask, avoiding the eye area. You may want to apply some on your neck too. Let it stay until completely dried. Wash it off with warm water, using a mild face soap.

Next, squeeze ¼ slice of lemon juice in a cold glass of water and blend. Splash it on your face and neck, wipe to dry with a towel. Apply a natural face cream before retiring to bed regularly.

Do this method whenever it is needed.

Body Care: for smoother and glowing complexion

In a bowl, mix ½ cup of fresh ground coffee, ½ cup of fresh milk, and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.

Rub and massage the mixture lightly, starting fromyour neck, going downwards to your feet, focusingmore on the darker parts that need more attention.

Do this inside the bathroom, in a standing or sitting position (use a chair). After completion, rinse with warm water, soap mildly, towel dry and apply an organic body lotion mixed with 3 drops of lavender essential oil (optional).

Do this method once a week. Every day use is not recommended, for it can harm the skin.

Hair Care: for hair loss and damaged hair

This therapy requires you to have aloe vera plant/s.

Get two aloe vera fresh leaves, cut them open and collect the gel using a spoon. Apply the gel on your scalp and massage it moderately, concentrating on the spots where you want to have more hair or needimprovement. Keep it for an hour.

Follow a scalp massage using cold pressed virgin coconut oil for 5 minutes. Cover your hair with a shower cap or towel. Let it stay for 30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water, shampoo and condition – using organic products.

Shampooing your hair every day, damages the hair andscalp, causes hair loss and thinning hair.

Use this method, 3-5 times a week, to see the difference quickly.

Eye Care: for strained and dry eyes

First, start by cleaning the eye area with lukewarm water.

Second, lie down and close your eyes. Using a few drops of olive oil and your middle fingers, lightly massage your eyelids, under-eyes, the muscles above your eyebrows and temples, in small circular strokes, for 10 minutes, ending the method with some light tapping touches. This system help increased the blood circulation in the eyes and prevents dryness in the eyes.

Third, dip a clean soft cloth in a bucket of ice cold water, squeeze the water out and place the folded cloth on top of your closed eyes. This technique clears out the strain and the puffiness in the eyes. Let it stay for 10 minutes, then pat to dry with a clean dry cloth. You may apply an eye cream to avoid wrinkles around the eyes.

Do this process before bed time or after shower.
