CLARK FREEPORT— Kilton Motor Corp. (KMC), together with Clark International Speedway, has expressed support for Executive Order No. 110, which was recently signed by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. to promote fuel and energy conservation among government agencies and private sector entities amid current supply concerns.

KMC president Johnny Tan said the company is aligning its operations with the national government’s fuel conservation efforts as part of its responsibility as a private sector partner operating within Clark.

“In support of EO 110, we are implementing measures to conserve fuel and energy within the speedway,” Tan said after signing the P1.5 billion Philippines’ first motorsports hotel in Clark on March 30 at Clark Visitors Center here.

“These steps will remain in place while the country addresses the current challenge,” he added.

Among the measures being implemented are the cancellation or postponement of races, the adoption of energy conservation programs, shortened operating hours, and efforts to reduce electricity consumption within the facility. KMC is also studying the possibility of adjusting work schedules, including shorter workweeks, to further conserve energy.

Despite the operational adjustments, Tan emphasized that KMC continues to explore alternative activities that can help sustain livelihoods within the motorsports industry.

These include hosting team-building activities, bicycle races, fun runs, and sports festivals, which require less fuel while still providing economic opportunities for workers and service providers in the sector.

Tan also called on fellow investors and locators within Clark to support the national government’s conservation efforts through similar initiatives.

“By working together to conserve fuel and power, we can help sustain our businesses during this period,” he said.

“These challenges will ultimately make us more resilient and better positioned for growth once conditions improve,” KMC president added.
