SAN FELIPE, Zambales — After 10 years in hiding from the police authorities, the Number 1 Most Wanted Person in this municipality was arrested in Tondo, Manila.
Police Capt. Ramil Menor, head of San Felipe, Municipal Police Station, identified the suspect as PJ Aguinaldo aka Paul John Aguinaldo, 23, of No. 441 Inocencio Street, Barangay 93, Zone 8, District 1, Tondo, Manila.
Aguinaldo was arrested by joint operatives of the Zambales PNP, along with Maj. Mark Louie Sigua, head of Regional Mobile Force Battalion- 3; Capt. Ramil Menor, head of San Felipe Police Municipal Station; and elements of Police Station 1 of Tondo, Manila by virtue of alias warrant of arrest issued by presiding Judge Josefina D. Farrales of RTC 3, Branch 69, Iba, Zambales for the crime of rape with homicide in relation to RA 7610 with Criminal Case No. 6165-I, dated February28, 2011 with no bail recommended.
Police record showed the suspect committed the crime when he was still 13 years old by raping and killing a 5-yearold girl in Barangay Maloma, San Felipe town.
After the commission of the crime the suspect was turned over to PREDA Foundation in Barangay Kalaklan, Olongapo City, but later escaped and went into hiding in Tondo, Manila for almost 10 years.
Aguinaldo is now under the custody of San Felipe Police Station and will be transferred to Zambales Provincial Jail in Iba.
In Balanga City, the Number 7 in the Bataan’s Most Wanted list was arrested by elements of CIDG Provincial Field Unit Bataan.
Under Oplan Pagtugis led by Bataan provincial police chief Maj. Isabelo Ganao nabbed was Richard Artates y Castillo, Barangay San Jose, Balanga City.
The suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by presiding Judge Philger B. Inovejas of RTC Branch 93 Balanga City, Bataan for violation of Section 5, Article ll of RA9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) with no bail recommended.
The suspect is now under custody of CIDG Bataan.
