ANGELES CITY – Nineteen Mutya Ning Angeles (MNA) 2023 candidates showcased their beauty and wit as the city government, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., held a pre-pageant on November 18, 2023 at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center.
“Now preparations for the upcoming prestigious coronation night are in full swing,” Lazatin said.
Lazatin also cited the MNA working committee for the full-blast preparations for the pre-pageant, recognizing and congratulating the ladies for coming this far.
The pre-pageant was organized by the MNA working committee, led by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, with the help from members of the Angeles City Tourism Office, led by Anneleen Sugui, Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office, headed by Irish Bonus-Llego, City Nutrition Office, led by Jermaine Jam Aguila, Information and Communication and Technology Division, headed by Michael Lising, Gender and Development Office, led by Mina Cabiles, Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, headed by Rudy Simeon, and City Information Office, led by Arnel San Pedro.
Also part of the working committee are Frederick Policarpio, Marlon Tuazon Rosette Ramos-Biag, Rommel “Poklong” Guina, Cecille Flores-Sanchez and Marna Dagumboy-del Rosario.
The MNA is also being co-presented by Beautéderm Corporation, led by President and Chief Executive Officer Rei Anicoche-Tan. The official wardrobe of the candidates – from elegant gowns, swimwear and shoes — were all locally made.
The gowns were produced by local designers, the swimwear was created by Policarpio, while the shoes were made by Bong Gonzales. Among the designers are Carl John Miranda, Mich Viray, Cholo Ayuyao, Richard Strandz, Christopher Glaraga Egne, Ritche Sabinian, Jhune Angeles, and Bryan Henson.
The five ladies chosen during the talent portion last Nov. 6, 2023 at the Prime City Hotel also performed during the pre-pageant night.
Hotel and Restaurant Association in Pampanga President Matt De Castro, Angeles City Water District General Manager Edgar Lopez, Dr. Michaella Castro-Tinio, Clark Development Corporation Vice President of Admin and Finance Group Jose Miguel De La Rosa, and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporarion Casino Filipino Angeles Branch Manager Antonio Bundoc served as the panel of judges during the MNA pre-pageant.
Artist Daniel Matsunaga is also a guest host of the event.
The MNA coronation night will be on November 30, 2023 at the Grand Palazzo Royale.
