ANGELES CITY – A member of the Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) was arrested by lawmen after he allegedly stole a motorcycle parked in front of Jumbo Jenra Supermarket in Barangay Agapito del Rosario here last Saturday, local police said.
Police identified the suspect as Mario Sese Mesina, 32, a member of the 703rs CAFGU Brigade, stationed in Barangay Baño, Arayat town.
The suspect was seen already driving off on a motorcycle when its owner, Cindy Talledo, 23, saw him and sought the help of security guards and bystanders who prevented the suspect from speeding off.
Police said Talledo had wanted to go shopping in the supermarket but never left the parking area after noting the suspicious behavior of Mesina in the area.
Policemen near the supermarket prevented the bystanders from lynching Mesina.
Police later found in the possession of the suspect, who admitted being member of CAFGU in Arayat, five different emblems of motorcycles, five pieces of ignition keys, five pieces of bullets for caliber .45 pistol and other tools usually used for motorcycle theft.
Theft and illegal possession of ammunition cases were filed against Mesina before the City Prosecutor Office.
