Angeles City, Pampanga — Under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., the Angeles City Government will begin the door-to-door distribution of five kilos of rice and P1,000 cash assistance to registered Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the city starting on the second week of January.

This initiative, a testament to Mayor Lazatin’s commitment to supporting the differently-abled community, was finalized during a preparatory meeting led by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel on January 2.

The Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO), headed by Ryan David, will spearhead the distribution. According to David, this is not the first time that Mayor Lazatin has provided financial assistance to the PWD sector.

A total of 2,500 registered PWDs from all 33 barangays of Angeles City are set to benefit from the program, receiving both financial aid and rice.

“The welfare of our PWD community has always been one of Mayor Lazatin’s priorities,” said David, “This program reflects his genuine dedication to ensuring that no Angeleño, especially those from the vulnerable sectors, is left behind.”

Mayor Lazatin reiterated his administration’s pledge to support the differently-abled community, highlighting this initiative as part of his mission to create a more inclusive and compassionate city.
