ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. will deliver his 4th State of the Children’s Address (SOCA) on Thursday, November 29, 2023, at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Legislative Building as he vowed to “deliver non-stop services down to the grassroots level for the youth”.
Lazatin’s 4th SOCA, which will focus on the city’s progress and updates on key programs for children, will air live via the City Information Office Facebook page, 10 AM, and other media partner entities.
During the address, Mayor Lazatin will highlight the advancements made in crucial areas such as health, education, social welfare services and welfare, nutrition, information and technology, and infrastructure development for children’s facilities.
In expressing his gratitude, Mayor Lazatin will acknowledge the support of the City Council, led by Vice Mayor Vicenta Vega-Cabigting, for their valuable contributions and collaboration in implementing these programs for Angeleño kids.
The 4th State of the Children’s Address is expected to provide a comprehensive overview of the city’s progress and development, which focuses on the youth under Mayor Lazatin’s leadership.
The event serves as an opportunity for the local government to showcase their achievements and reaffirm their commitment to the welfare of children in Angeles City.
To recall, the city government received the Seal of Child-Friendly City from the Department of the Interior and Local Government, and Gawad Makabata award conferred by the Regional Sub-Committee for the Welfare of Children (RSCWC) — Central Luzon.
