Busy na naman si Lovi Poe. She has started taping for “Titser,” GMA News TV Channel 11’s tribute to teachers co-starring Mara Lopez and Agot Isidro. Yesterday, she attended the story conference of her new soap for GMA7.
“Baka maglagare ako sa taping ng two shows ko,” sabi niya. “Pero hindi naman daw sila sabay na ipalalabas. I just don’t know kung alin ang mauuna.”
Silang dalawa ni Rocco Nacino kasama sina Cesar Mon tano at Solenn Heausaff sa siang project.
“Nag-click kasi ‘yung tambalan namin ni Rocco in ‘Yesterday’s Bride’ kaya pinareha kami uli sa isa’t isa. We don’t know the final title yet.”
While she’s jobless on TV, she was able to finish two new films: “Sana Dati” and “Lihis.” “’Sana Dati’ is an entry sa Cinemalaya this July. It’s directed by Jerrold Tarog who I worked with before in ‘Aswang’.
The story happens only in one day. I play a bride about to be married to TJ Trinidad but continued to yearn for her dead boyfriend, Benjamin Alves, with Paulo Avelino as the videographer who’ll also get involved with me.
In ‘Lihis’, I play a spoiled rich girl who does research about NPA’s in the 1970s. I meet two NPA’s who turn out to be lovers, Joem Bascon and Jake Cuenca. Na-challenge akong agawin si Joem from Jake kahit alam kong bading siya. Magkakaanak kami, si Isabel Daza, and I’ll be played by Tita Gloria Diaz as an older woman.”
Is it true she and Jake had an LQ (lovers quarrel) while shooting the movie? “No. That’s not true. Nabasa ko nga, dinededma ko raw siya. Walang ganun. We’re still friends and we’ll be friends forever.”
