MABALACAT CITY – An engineer from Barangay Dau here who parked his car along the roadside was apparently the victim of a carjacking incident on June 5.
The victim, identified as Glenn Yturralde, 36, was inside his white 2001 model Honda City bearing plate number WRX 761 at about 10:20 in the evening when four armed men who introduced themselves as agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) accosted him.
In a spot investigation report signed by Chief Insp. Armandy C. Dimabuyu from the Carmona, Cavite police, Yturralde said the four men boarded his vehicle, hogtied and blindfolded him.
The victim was later dumped unharmed in Barangay Cabilang Baybay, Carmona, Cavite in the vicinity of the Manila South Woods. He was found by the South Woods security guard, who radioed the Carmona police, at about 1:30 am the following day.
The suspects reportedly fled with the victim’s car in an unknown direction. The victim lost his Dell laptop, I Phone, Sonny cellular phone, driver’s license, company ID, and BDO ATM card which were inside his vehicle.
