Limay police conduct coastal clean-up

LIMAY, Bataan — Members of the municipal police station here on Saturday morning conducted coastal cleanup in one of this  town’s seaside villages.

Town police chief Major Madtaib M. Jalman led in the cleanup drive at a fishing sitio in Barangay Lamao where fishing bancas were anchored.

“This activity is to raise environmental awareness in different communities and to provide a safe and clean environment with the help of the local government and force multipliers,” the police chief said.

Jalman said per directive of Bataan police director Col. Joel K. Tampis, the cleanup will be a regular activity being part of the Police Regional Office 3’s “Barangayanihan” program.

Joining the clean-up were members of the “Kaligkasan” warrior, community anti-crime group and advisory council in Limay.

Jalman said that aside from the cleanup campaign, they also conduct regular quarantine checkpoints as part of the implementation of the modified enhance community quarantine to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease.
