ANGELES CITY – The Clark Development Corp. (CDC) said the BB International Leisure and Resort Development Corporation (BBI) will submit its Timeline of Development next month.
CDC President and CEO Arthur Tugade said a ground-breaking ceremony will also be held by BBI in July for the development of an 80- to 100-hectare hotel and water park in their leased site of about 200 hectares at the area of Gate 14 near Fontana. He also said the architectural design of the project as well as the engineering plan is now on-going.
Fast running out of lands to lease, the CDC has initially given a July deadline for the takeover of idle lands leased to locators that are not being developed including the BBI.
Last month, Robert Serrano, leader of the Aeta community that were displaced by BBI said there is no development in the area which is part of their ancestral lands despite CDC leasing it almost seven years ago.
Serrano complained that they have waited long enough since the time they were displaced and could hardly make a living. He said they were promised a lot of things by BBI but nothing was delivered including the construction of a hanging bridge across the river.
