CLARK FREEPORT – Donning a Barong Tagalog, President Duterte once again reiterated his stand against those who invoked God’s name in attacking him as well as corruption which he vowed to totally eradicate or at least minimize to its lowest in his keynote speech here on Tuesday.
“In my time, I will reduce it to the barest minimum if I cannot totally eradicate it,” Duterte said at the Micro, Small, Medium Enterprise (MSME) National Summit at the ASEAN Convention Center here.
“When you are abused by anybody, you can always come to me anytime of the day or night if it involves corruption,” Duterte declared in the full packed hall.
The president warned corrupt officials, especially the Bureau of Immigration (BI), to stop abusing foreigners.
He said he will protect foreign visitors in the country but said they have no right to criticize the government if they are here.
Duterte said only Filipinos, no matter how bad it is, can criticize him.
“Okay yan sa akin pagka Pilipino ka. The rationale is you pay my salary,” he said.
Duterte said foreigners should not include God in attacking him because he has the right to answer and that God will have it.
“Pagka sinali mu sa isyu, sinali mu ang Diyos, p..i.. patay ang Diyos na yan,” he said.
“I have the right to answer. There is a separation of power. Why are you using the name of the Lord against me? So pag sagot ko, since ang forefront mo Diyos e bakit maghinanakit ka?”
“I am now forced to recreate a design of my god na hindi gumagawa ng ganon.. Ang diyos ko forgiving, ang diyos ko hindi bastos, ang diyos ko hindi nagmumura as a matter of fact ang diyos ko walang sinasabi except the 10 Commandments,” Duterte said.
“My god is not stupid to create man just to burn him in hell,” he said.
“I also do not believe in heaven because if I do only a fraction of you will go to heaven,” he said.
“Lahat man tayo sa impyerno magkita,” he said.
Duterte reiterated that he will fulfill his campaign promises even it cost him his life, dignity or even the presidency.
The president also said he intends to issue orders to reduce to three days the processing time for application and renewal of business permits.
He also warned those involved in the 5-6 lending scheme to stop further burdening Filipinos with high interests.
About 800 entrepreneurs, academe, enablers, business experts and other stakeholders attended the summit which carried the theme “Accelerating 7Ms for Competitive MSMEs.”
It presented various opportunities and initiatives in gearing up for MSME competitiveness under the 7Ms framework- Mindset Change, Mastery, Mentoring, Money, Machine, Market Access, and Models of Business which was introduced and supported by the ASEAN Economic Community during the 2017 Philippine Chairmanship.
