
CABANATUAN CITY – A 30-year-old jobless man, tagged by the local police as a high value individual, yielded P510,000 worth of suspected metamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu in a by bust operation in Purok 1, Barangay Imelda here Monday.
Police Col. Ferdinand Germino, director of the Nueva Ecija police provincial office, said the suspect was a 30-year-old resident included in the watchlist.
The operation was intelligence-driven, he said.
The suspect who is now detained at Cabanatuan City police station detention facikity is being charged for violating Republic Act 9165, or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“The Nueva Ecija Police remains relentless in its fight against illegal drugs to safeguard the neighborhoods and ensure the welfare of Novo Ecijanos,” Germino said, adding this was in accordance with the directive of Central Luzon police chief Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo.
