BALANGA CITY — No less than Bishop Ruperto C. Santos of the Bataan diocese placed ash on the forehead of presidential candidate Isko Moreno during the Manila mayor’s campaign sortie in the province on Ash Wednesday.

The bishop administered the ash on Moreno, vice-presidential candidate Dr. Willy Ong and senatoriable Jopet Sison at the bishop’s chapel of the Saint Joseph Cathedral in Balanga City.

Also present in the Bataan visit was senatorial aspirant Samira Gutoc.

The bishop of the Diocese of Balanga personally welcomed Moreno and company who were on a motorcade in Balanga City and later in Pilar down to Samal town.

Santos said he noticed the logo of the team wherein a finger is pointed upwards.
