    MALOLOS CITY—Bulacan police arrested an Indian national after robbing an Indian businessman in Meycauayan City on Sunday morning.

    In his report to Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Joel Orduna, Supt. Rafmil Corpuz identified the suspect as Amrik Singh, alias Michael, 43, married and resident of 108 Sta. Monica Compound 1, Barangay Balubaran, Valenzuela City. Amrik’s two other male cohorts eluded arrest by responding police officers.

    The victim is identified as Bikramjit Sing, 34, a native of Punjab, India and currently residing at 552 F. Dazo Street, Barangay Calvario, Meycauayan City. Investigation disclosed that Bikramjit was driving towards the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) on board his Honda Beat motorcycle with license plates 5696 RS when the three suspects blocked his path around 11 a.m. Sunday.

    At gunpoint, Amrik and his two cohorts forcibly took P30,000 cash from the victim and fled towards the MacArthur Highway on board two motorcycles. One of the motorcycles used by the suspects is a Suzuki Skydive with license plates 2073 PW. The said motorcycle served as a key in identifying and determining the location of Amrik.

    Follow up operations conducted by elements of the Meycauayan Police Station resulted to the arrest of Amrik
    and the confiscation of his Suzuki Skydive motorcycle.
