IBA, Zambales — A high value drug personality was arrested in a buy-bust operation in San Antonio town Sunday evening.
Zambales police director Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño identified the suspect as Melanio Santos, Jr. y Conception, 33, of Purok 3, Barangay Luna, San Antonio.
In his report to the ZPPO, OIC-police chief of San Antonio Lt. Mark B. Almero said joint elements of the town police and the intelligence and drug enforcement units of ZPPO in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency conducted the buy-bust in Purok 3, Barangay Luna resulting to the arrest of Santos.
Police said tThe suspect is “Top Priority Target Drug Personality Provincial Level Rank 6, (HVI) member of Buela Gang Drug Group.”
Confiscated from the suspect were 11 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, the buy-bust money, and a blue pouch.
Santos is presently locked up at the San Antonio MPS facing charges for violation of RA 9165.
