CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The provincial government awarded financial assistance to a total of 199 board exam passers in an event held at the Capitol on Saturday, August 12.
Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the distribution ceremony, accompanied by Board Members Ananias Canlas Jr., Cherry Manalo, Renato Mutuc, and Nelson Calara.
Governor Delta highlighted that over 90 percent of the passers are already employed. He urged them to support their siblings or relatives by assisting them in completing their education.
“Pakiusap ko sa kanila ngayong nagtatrabaho na sila, kahit isa man lang sa mga kapatid o kamag-anak nila pag-aralin nila. Tulungan nila na makatapos para dumami ang mga edukadong Kapampangan,” the governor shared.
In line with this, each candidate received checks not exceeding P15,000 as reimbursement for their board exam and review fees.
Among the beneficiaries is Dexter Valenton, an Aeta native from Floridablanca town who successfully passed the criminology board exam.
“Nakakaproud and napakasaya dahil yung mga tinutulungan nating katutubo nakikita talaga natin na nagsusumikap sila. I’ll do my best para matulungan sila para maging isang ganap na pulis,” governor delta said.
Valenton extended his gratitude to the provincial government for its support in his educational journey.
The passers encompass a range of professions, including teachers (67), mechanical engineers (32), civil engineers(23), electrical engineers (23), criminologists (18) architects (10), nurses(8), electronic engineers(6), medical technologists(5), pharmacists (2), social workers (2), chemical engineer (1), accountant (1), and radiologic technologist (1).
Also present at the distribution event were Special Assistant to the Governor/ PDRRM Chief Angelina Blanco and Provincial Library OIC Jasmine Cordero.
