CLARK FREEPORT – Skytrax, reputed to be the world’s leading airline and airport review site on the internet, has given AirAsia its “World’s Best Low Cost Airline” award for four consecutive years.
“We are proud that for four consecutive years, AirAsia has been voted as the World’s Best Low Cost Airline.
We owe it all to of AirAsia’s supporters and this World’s Best Ever Sale is our way of thanking them,” said AirAsia chief executive officer Maan Hontiveros.
Hontiveros said “this is positively a reason to offer more low fares with the World’s Best Ever Sale to all its guests, who have made it possible for AirAsia to attain this great success once again.”
The Skytrax World Airline Survey is an annual global survey conducted by respected London-based aviation consultants Skytrax which noted that almost 19 million travellers polled worldwide “chose AirAsia as the World’s Best Low Cost Airline for the fourth consecutive year.
Skytrax reviews over 681 airlines and 725 airports annually and rates airlines according to the “trust rankings” and even seat reviews.
Hontiveros said the Skytrax award has inspired gratitude of AirAsia to its patrons by offering “all-in-fares from as low as P440 for one-way travel to domestic destinations Davao, Kalibo or Puerto Princesa (Palawan) as well as international destinations Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Macau, while tickets to Perth, Melbourne, Gold Coast and Sydney in Australia cost only P5,670 via Kuala Lumpur Low Cost Carrier Terminal.”
“We are staying true to our commitment to transparency, efficiency, high value service and affordable fares by including base fare, fuel surcharge, processing fee and government mandated fees such as aviation security fee and VAT in all our promo fares,” Hontiveros said.
