SAN JOSE CITY – A 32-year-old jobless woman was hauled to the police station on charges of “unjust vexation and violation of the penal law” for allegedly trash talking cops in an enhanced community quarantine checkpoint in Barangay Sto. Niño 3rd here at about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
Maria (not her real name), single, resident of Zone 8 Barangay Kita-Kita this city was walking alone when she was stopped and “courteously asked of undisclosed questions” by the policemen manning the checkpoint.
“Apparently, she arrogantly replied “lintik kayong mga pulis, abala kayo,” said PSSg. Alvin Dave Cabildo, investigator. The suspect was noticeably under the influence of liquor, police said.
Charges for violation of Art. 151 of the Revised Penal Code and unjust vexation were being leveled against her.
