OLONGAPO CITY – A fake member of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority Intelligence and Investigation Office (SBMA-IIO) was nabbed in an entrapment operation by joint operatives of the city police and SBMA Law Enforcement Department at Mateen Tokyo Inc., Rizal Highway, Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

The suspect was identified as Julito Quinto y Ordoñez, 56, of No. 49 Barangay New Kababae, here.

Police said one Inam Ur Rahman, 31, a Pakistan national and resident of Lot 71-A Honesty St., SBGP Phase 1, Subic Bay Freeport Zone complained about Quinto presenting himself as a member of the intel office of SBMA and soliciting cash by means of a letter bearing the Police Regional Office 3 and the name of former police regional director Chief Supt. The complaint prompted police and SBMA operatives to set up the entrapment.

Recovered from the suspect were the P5,000 marked money, one toy replica of a 9mm Pietro Berretta, and other solicitation letters.

The suspect is now detained at Police Station 3 facing charges for Usurpation of Authority and Estafa by Means of Deceit, and for violation of R.A. 10591 (Possession of Pistol Replica) before the Olongapo City Prosecutors Office.
