ANGELES CITY – Electric power will be cut off this morning (April 18) in five towns in Bataan to give way to “corrective maintenance” of power lines.
National Grid Corporation of the Philippines’ (NGCP) announced Monday the power shutdown in Hermosa, Orani, Samal, Abucay and Balanga City.
NGCP North Luzon of the Corporate Communication Division Lilibeth Gaydowen said these towns are servied by the Peninsula Electric Cooperative (PENELCO).
“There will be a corrective maintenance of partially detached conductor along the line segment of Hermosa Balanga 69kV line,” Gaydowen explained.
She assured the affected folk, however, that “normal operations will immediately resume after work completion.”
“NGCP customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled interruption,” she added.
