MAYOR Edwin “EdSa” Santiago spoke at the third day of 2018 Values Enhancement through Spiritual Transformation (VEST) Program on December 20, 2018, at the SM City Pampanga, hosted by the city government and City Schools Division.

According to the division, the program catered the teachers to help them make plans which are linked to San Fernando’s core values, as it is devoted in instilling these values in the basic education curriculum.

CSF’s Core Values include Commitment, Honesty and Integrity, Discipline, Social Justice, Culture of Excellence, and Love of Country.

“We put education on top because we want to put Fernandinos on top, also. We can be able to achieve that by following our Core Values. The city government is very glad to have you (teachers) here, because you are our instruments in promoting these values,” expressed Santiago.

The aim was made possible through a motivational talk by seasoned life coach, Bro. Roberto “Obet” Cabrillas of the Light of Jesus Family, who also happens to be the city’s resource speaker in its previous activities.

Apart from the said objectives, the program is also a celebration of the division’s success in the 2017 National Achievement Test for Grade 6 pupils where it landed Rank 1 in the whole of Central Luzon.

The activity has been attended by some four thousand (4,000) public and private teachers in San Fernando, and is expected to end on December 22.
