The Department of Trade and Industry Region 3 (DTI-3) continues to bring affordable school supplies closer to consumers through its Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan, helping families prepare for the opening of classes while promoting consumer welfare and supporting local businesses.
Implemented across various provinces in Central Luzon, the Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan allows consumers to purchase school supplies and other essential items at discounted prices through direct selling arrangements with participating suppliers, manufacturers, and retailers.
To date, the series of Diskwento Caravan activities conducted by DTI provincial offices in Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales has generated more than ₱2.8 million in sales, reflecting strong consumer participation and the continued relevance of the program in helping families manage their back-to-school expenses.
DTI Region 3 Regional Director Edna D. Dizon underscored the importance of the initiative in providing practical assistance to consumers during the school opening season.

“The Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan is one of DTI’s ways of helping families access quality school supplies at more affordable prices. At the same time, it provides participating businesses with additional market opportunities, creating a win-win situation for both consumers and enterprises,” Director Dizon said.
Complementing the Diskwento Caravan, DTI recently released the 2026 Gabay sa Pamimili ng School Supplies, a price guide that serves as a reference for parents, students, and consumers in making informed purchasing decisions. The guide contains the prevailing prices of commonly used school supplies and aims to promote consumer awareness and prudent spending during the back-to-school season.
Consumers may access the 2026 Gabay sa Pamimili ng School Supplies through the official Facebook pages of DTI Region 3 and the DTI Provincial Offices, as well as through the DTI Region 3 website.

More Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan activities are scheduled in the coming days, including in Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija on June 11 to 12 and Marikit, Casiguran, Aurora on June 12 to 13. Consumers are encouraged to visit these caravans and take advantage of discounted school supplies and other essential products.Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan in Mabalacat City, Pampanga
