CABANATUAN CITY – Eleven people, including a 58-year-old married woman, were arrested in two successive “intel-driven” anti-drugs operations in this city on Tuesday.
City police chief Lt. Arnel Dial said that Relita Mana, resident of Barangay Magsaysay Norte, was arrested with Glenn Fuentebella, 43, of Bantug Bulalo, both of this city, and Rico Fajardo,52, of Sagaba, Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija in a buy bust operation in Bantug Bulalo at about 2:30 p.m.
Dial said an undercover lawman managed to buy one sachet of shabu from Fuentebella who was the main target of operation. Fuentebella reportedly yielded the P500 marked bill.
Police, however, also recovered one sachet of shabu each from Mana and Fajardo. Fuentebella denied selling but admitted consuming shabu shortly before their arrest.
The eight other suspects were arrested in another buy–bust operation that was conducted in cooperation with Talavera police station in Barangay Mayapyap Sur here at about 6:30 p.m., according to Dial.
The suspects were identified as Jayson Binuya, 34; Patrick Cruz, 28; Julius Alvaran, 50; Alden Del Rosario, 41; Roland Velasquez, 45; Jonathan Binuya, 35; Arjay Agarin, 33; and Mark Alvin Cruz, 35, all of this city.
Dial said operatives were out to conduct buy–bust operation against Jayson Binuya and had successfully bought one sachet from him using a pre-marked P500bill.
“The other suspects were caught in the act of having pot session,” Dial said, adding policemen also recovered from the group seven more sachets of suspected shabu.
All suspects, now detained at the police custodial facility, were charged for violating RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law, Dial said.
