DPWH turns over 2 new multipurpose covered courts in Maria Aurora

Department of Public Works and Highways turns over two new multipurpose covered courts in barangay Wenceslao in Maria Aurora, Aurora. (DPWH)


 

BALER, Aurora — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) turned over two new multipurpose covered courts in barangay Wenceslao in Maria Aurora, Aurora.

These were constructed within the premises of Wenceslao Elementary School and Wenceslao National High School.

“The projects amounting to P5.84 million were included in the DPWH 2021 budget,” Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal disclosed.

“We hope that these facilities will help provide the additional space needed in case physical classes are allowed to resume,” he furthered.

“Classroom precautions during this pandemic must be maintained hence the need to maintain a physical distancing at schools, these newly-built covered courts may be converted as additional classrooms,” Andal said.

School officials and teachers of Wenceslao Elementary School and Wenceslao National High School expressed their gratitude to the new facilities that are ready to be used not only by students but also the entire community. (CLJD-PIA 3)
