BALER, Aurora (PIA) — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has begun the construction of a three-span concrete bridge in Dingalan, Aurora.
This P154.4 million infrastructure project, located in Barangay Dikapanikian, aims to improve access and connectivity across the province.
At the recent groundbreaking ceremony, Governor Reynante Tolentino highlighted the bridge project as a transformative investment for the province, promising to improve residents’ lives by enhancing access to essential services and opportunities.
He noted that the project will also bolster the province’s development and transportation infrastructure.
In addition, Aurora Lone District Representative Rommel Angara underscored the strong partnership between his office and the DPWH, emphasizing that this collaboration is key to advancing infrastructure projects that enhance local connectivity and facilities.
He added that such projects will position Aurora as a premier tourism destination.
Further to this, DPWH Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal noted that, once completed, the bridge will enhance connectivity between the towns of Dingalan and San Luis, improving access to the rest of the province.
“In addition to the bridge structure, road safety features, including solar-powered roadway lighting, will be installed to enhance motorists’ safety during nighttime travel,” Andal stated.
The bridge design includes two approaches: Approach A, with a net length of 260 lineal meters, and Approach B, at 137.20 lineal meters, ensuring smooth access points at both ends.
The project is targeted for completion in the third quarter of 2025. (CLJD/RPQ, PIA Region 3-Aurora)
