CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a two-storey multipurpose building at barangay Kapitan Pepe in Cabanatuan City.
Implemented by DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office, the infrastructure is adjacent to the old barangay office.
District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad underscored the importance of these types of projects that help local government units to better deliver social services.
“We are keen on providing our local public officials with the necessary facilities that will help them more effectively respond to the needs of their constituents,” Trinidad said.
Barangay Captain Billy Rhey Puno said that with the new facility, they now have conducive and spacious working areas that will allow them to simultaneously conduct transactions and office meetings.
The P4.87 million project was implemented under the agency’s Basic Infrastructure Program with funds from the General Appropriations Act of 2022. (CLJD/TJBM-PIA 3)
