CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a multipurpose building for TABASACA Irrigators Farmers Association Incorporated.
The P4.9-million infrastructure is located at barangay Bantug in Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija.
DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad disclosed that the two-storey facility will serve as a venue for holding meetings and other official activities of the association.
“It is equipped with air-conditioning units and spacious rooms that can accommodate many attendees for meetings and seminars. This facility will be of great help to the association, particularly to its members whose main source of livelihood is farming,” he added.
Gilbert Salamero, president of Water System Supply of TABASACA, expressed his gratitude to DPWH for the completed project and shared their experience before the construction of the facility.
“Kami po noon ay nagmimeeting sa ilalim ng puno ng bayog at doon po kami nagkakatipon-tipon, pero noong dumating na po itong building pong ito na bahay-pulungan namin ay napaka laking katulungan po sa mga magsasaka sapagkat isang text mo lang po alam na po yung venue ng pagdadausan ng meeting,” Salamero said.
The project was implemented under the agency’s Basic Infrastructure Project with funding sourced from the 2022 General Appropriations Act. (CLJD-PIA 3)
