BALER, Aurora (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a covered court within the premises of Aurora National High School.
The infrastructure, located at barangay Reserva in Baler town, has a floor area of 600 square meters and is now being used by school staff and students for their outdoor activities.
DPWH Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal said P6.37 million was allocated for the project under the 2023 General Appropriations Act.
“This kind of facility is necessary for the learning development of our students. With this, the school can hold their scheduled activities even in the rainy season,” he pressed.
DPWH hopes that the interest of students in sports will increase because the project has been prepared for basketball and volleyball.
Funds saved during the implementation were used to construct a comfort room near the multipurpose facility. (CLJD-PIA 3)
