CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed two road preventive maintenance projects in Sta. Rosa and Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.
The projects amounting P19.70 million were implemented by Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office.
District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad disclosed that it covers the barangay Sto. Rosario section of Sta. Rosa-Tarlac Road in Sta. Rosa town with a total length of 1.103 kilometer.
Also included is the 0.970-kilometer portion of Nueva Ecija-Aurora Road in barangay Bangad in Cabanatuan City.
“We will continue to implement preventive maintenance projects such as these to preserve the structural integrity of our existing road networks and at the same time correct deformed surfaces thus extending its usability. We hope these projects will create pleasant and safer travels for commuters and motorists,” Trinidad said.
They were funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act. (CLJD-PIA 3)
