The restaurant named Hong Kong Station operates side by side with other eateries under the City Food Expo that opened in time for the Christmas season. The food expo closes on December 31, 2016 but Hong Kong Station will go on.
Jason Austria, young entrepreneur and owner, said they serve dimsum dumplings, congee, rice toppings and other short orders daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
“Hindi na kayo kailangang pumunta sa Hong Kong. Just spend a few bucks and you can experience here the authentic and aff ordable Hong Kong experience with music and video,” he said.
Austria said the prices are within reach of everybody. “Kaya ng lahat tulad ng mga estudyante, working professionals, senior citizens, families,” he said.
The owner said their menu is prepared by dimsum chefs from Manila and all the ingredients coming from Binondo, Manila.
Austria said double-decker buses are famous in London and Hong Kong. “We decided to pattern our restaurant and off er authentic Hong Kong Chinese cuisine,” he said.
Visitors enjoy both the main and upper decks designed with Chinese décor.
