MABALACAT CITY — The Department of Tourism (DOT3) in Central Luzon expressed gratitude to Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo for his relentless support to the tourism industry amidst pandemic.
DOT-3 Regional Director Carolina Uy, during the welcoming party with officers of the Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA), cited Mayor Garbo’s unwavering support to the tourism industry.
“I am very thankful to the generous mayor of Mabalacat City, the Hon. Cris Garbo, for his compassion to the hotel and travel industry by helping us in DOT in this time of uncertainty especially during the repatriation,” Uy added.
Uy warmly welcomed the PHILTOA officers headed by its President Cesar Cruz, led by the Mabalacat City Government through its City Tourism Office headed by ATOP President Arwin Lingat, the City Information Office and Clark Tourism Office at My Lola Nor’s Meryendahan.
As part of familiarization tour, My Lola Nor’s owner and chef Elsa Yabut also performed a cooking demo on how to make Biko Kalabasa in front of the guests.
Uy also reminded all guests and customers of any restaurant or eatery to properly observe health protocols.
The group also visited various tourist spots in Clark Freeport where majority of its labd area is within the territorial boundaries of Mabalacat City.
