TARLAC CITY (PIA) — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Tarlac opened its first satellite office at the Eduardo Cojuangco Jr. Gymnasium, Poblacion Norte in the municipality of Paniqui.
The DOLE Tarlac District 1 Satellite Office aims to make public services more accessible, efficient and responsive to the needs of not only the residents of Paniqui but also the people from neighboring towns.
DOLE Undersecretary Lawyer Felipe N. Edgardo Jr. emphasized that the satellite office can provide services tailored to the needs of the community, resulting in improved delivery of programs.

“One of the reasons why Paniqui was chosen as a satellite office is the commitment of the agency and the local government unit to bring services closer to our clients. This is the first in Tarlac province, and we are eyeing to put up a satellite office in another district,” Edgardo said.
Services offered include the facilitation of special program for employment of students, job fairs, public employment service, and labor market and information.
It likewise accepts applications for occupational safety and health standards; Social Security System and insurance benefits; maternity and death benefits under the Social Amelioration Program; and Government Internship Program, among others.
Meanwhile, the second DOLE satellite office is set to rise in Concepcion town to cater Tarlaqueños in the third district.
The ribbon-cutting and blessing of the satellite office in the Tarlac first district coincides with the celebration of National Women’s Month.
During the activity, DOLE awarded livelihood aid to a total of 13 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program graduates under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program.
Additionally, the local government unit of Paniqui received 1 million worth of livelihood starter kits for its 33 residents that are planning to venture in rice retailing and frozen food products business.
Among the highlights of the women’s month celebration were the Health and Wellness for Juana; Serbisyo para kay Juana; and a learning session to approximately 1,000 residents. (MJSC/TJBM, PIA Region 3-Tarlac)
