DINALUPIHAN, Bataan — Mayor German “Tong” Santos, Jr. on Monday announced that the local government here will finally operate its own dialysis center next year.
The mayor said they are initially preparing 15 dialysis machines that can serve four patients per machine every day or an equivalent of 60 dialysis patients a day.
Each patient will be attended in a room and not in mere cubicle so that a watcher can be with the patient.
The project will be in cooperation between the municipal government and the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. where patients will pay nothing. The LGU will provide two service vans to fetch and bring home patients.
The mayor said that even patients from the neighboring towns of Hermosa and Orani can avail themselves of the service of the Dinalupihan dialysis center.
The dialysis center will be located at the former Dinalupihan quarantine area that served as Covid–19 isolation center at the back of the Bulwagan ng Bayan during the time of former Mayor Maria Angela Garcia, now Bataan 3rd District congresswoman.
