DepEd cites outstanding public school teachers, heads in CL

    CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Jan.5 (PIA) — Department of Education (DepEd) ended 2015 by recognizing 20 Outstanding Public School Teachers and School Heads in Central Luzon.

    “The search aims to bestow honor upon the teaching profession by according special recognition to teachers and school heads who manifest profound commitment to the development of the youth through exemplary competence, remarkable dedication to their work, and effective educational leadership,” DepEd OIC-Regional Director Malcolm Garma said.

    Honorees include Analyn Razon as Outstanding Grade 1 Teacher, Erlinda Gan as Outstanding Grade 2 Teacher, Leoncio Benigno Tolentino as Outstanding Grade 4 Teacher, Alfredo Correa as Outstanding Grade 5 Teacher, Christopher Esteban as Outstanding Grade 6 Teacher, and Haidee Pajarito as Outstanding Master Teacher.

    Also, Grace Echeche as Outstanding English Teacher, Lady Anne Bayan as Outstanding Math Teacher, Angelina Bernabe as Outstanding Science Teacher, Armando Illescas as Outstanding Master Teacher, and Ednalyn Fajardo as Outstanding Alternative Learning System Implementer.

    Moreover, recognized school heads were Juanito Rigor as Outstanding Officer- in-Charge, Ariel Garcia as Outstanding Principal I-Elementary, Genalyn Tangonan as Outstanding Principal II-Elementary, Annabelle Nucum as Outstanding Principal III-Elementary, Enriquetta Tayao as Outstanding Principal IV-Elementary, Manolito De Leon as Outstanding Principal I-Secondary, Arlene Vidal as Outstanding Principal II-Secondary, Vilma Nunez as Outstanding Principal III-Secondary, and Ma. Celina Vega as Outstanding Principal IV-Secondary.

    Winners were chosen out of hundreds of nominees based on Document Analysis (60%), Interview (20%), and Validation/Character Investigation (20%).

    “There is no greater award that one can get but to become an inspiration to others. I hope they continue to make the difference and become the catalyst of greater change,” Garma furthered.
