The Nevada court has granted the divorce petition filed by Daiana herself in November 2016.Now, she could already speak up regarding the issue.
Daiana and Benjo married in Las Vegas in 2012, their relationship lasted for three years.
“Yes, I was granted the divorce and I am very happy about it.
“The divorce was granted in November, but I have been single for two years.”
How does she feel now that the divorce has been granted?
Actually, may mga bagay na nangyayari sa buhay natin, lesson lang iyon.
“I don’t regret anything.
“Siguro I regret the fact na ang tagal akong mauntog, alam mo iyon?
“It took me so long to actually come up with a decision.
“I should have done it before.
“But I didn’t regret it, because if I didn’t do it, maybe I wouldn’t be here.”
Now that Daiana is single again, is she willing to entertain suitors?
“Oo naman, tao pa rin ako.
“Siyempre, I need to have someone.
“Pero natuto rin ako na dapat… kasi madaldal ako, e, at saka honest ako, prangka ako.
“Alam ng press iyan, e, that’s why I always get into intrigues, because I always speak the truth.
“So, with me naman, I think, yes, I am ready [for a new love life], but I learned to keep my mouth shut when it comes to that.
“So, I won’t be as open about my love life.
“Iyon din ang isa sa lessons na natutunan ko.”
How would she comment on the hearsay that she is taken advantage of men whom she had relationship in the past?Is it true that it was she who spends for them?
“Uhm, okay… legally, I’m not allowed to talk about it, because my lawyer’s gonna kill me if I say something.
“Pero I’ll just say one thing, I’ve been alone and independent ever since I moved here in the Philippines.
“Nobody else pay for my bills, that’s all I can say.
“Now, nasa tao iyon kung ite-take advantage sila.
“Basta kung mahal kita, I will do everything for you, I’ll buy you a house, I’ll take care of you, that’s it.
“But I won’t put it to myself that I’m a man, I’m a woman, but I’m a person.
“If I love you, I will take care of you.
“Nobody has ever paid a penny for my bills.”
Daiana summoned not to talk about her relationship with former Rep Benjo because the case is still on going. But would she consider her experiences in the past made her even more stronger in terms of her career and lovelife is concerned?
“Well, I don’t consider myself fierce because if you know me really well, you’ll see na iyakin ako.
“But I learned from my experiences.
“I was always matapang because I came from a broken family.
“My dad has a lot of money but he didn’t help my mom, so I’m the one who takes care of my mom.
“So, I have to be matapang in that sense, iyon nga, kasi iniwan kami, e.
“I think doon ko nakuha yung pagiging independent, matapang.
“And, I think, that’s the only thing I’m really proud of is that I worked for everything that I have.
“I think that’s the only fierce about me.”
“Right after nung mangyari yun [divorce], ang daming blessings.
“I started working again. Here I am, I’m very excited to work,” she said.
Daiana is out for her new hosting job on GMA TV News. Dubbed as “The of them All” is a reality modelling show.
“I’m very proud to be a part of this project.
“And not just proud, I’m very blessed dahil actually pangarap ko talagang maging host sa sarili kong show, pero hindi ko siya in-expect na ganito siya kagaling.
“Alam mo iyon, yung mga kasama namin, talagang mga totoong tao.
“Alam mo iyon, walang buwisit, yeah.
“Nine years na po ako sa showbiz dito sa Philippines, eto yung pinakamagandang project na nagawa ko sa buong buhay ko.
“And Direk, I want to say thank you, because it feels like I shot 13 different movies.
“Pag makita niyo ang material namin, hindi siya biro. Talagang I haven’t seen na for TV that looks like cinema.
“And I’m very proud to be a part of it.”
“And the girls, they did so well.
“Kung ako sa kanila, maggi-give up ako, sobra yung mga parusa, grabe.
“So, I hope you guys enjoy the show just as much as the crew and the participants of the show enjoyed it. We became a family.
“So, we’re looking forward for another ten seasons siguro.” she talks excitedly.
