DA-CL has 4 centers to process Food Pass for vehicles

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — There are now a total of four centers to process Food Pass for vehicles hauling food supply in Central Luzon, the Department of Agriculture (DA) announced on Monday.

These include the DA Regional Field Office 3 Agribusiness and Marketing Division located at the Capitol Compound, City of San Fernando in Pampanga; RIARC Lowland Station in Barangay Paraiso, Tarlac City; Regional Crop Protection Center at PhilRice compound in the Science City of Munoz,Nueva Ecija; and the Provincial Agriculture Office of Bulacan in Malolos City.

DA eegional executive director Crispulo Bautista Jr said the Food Pass is a privilege given to suppliers and truckers that go to, for and/or pass through Metro Manila and other regions during the enhanced community quarantine period to ensure the unhampered movement of all cargoes, agriculture and fishery inputs, food products and agribusiness personnel nationwide.

Perishable agricultural commodities such as rice, corn, fresh fruits and vegetables, root crops, onions, garlic, fresh eggs, fresh milk, and fresh young coconut (buko); livestock and poultry; fishery products; processed food products; and agricultural inputs such as fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides, feeds, veterinary products, sacks, and handling materials for transport of agricultural produces/products are covered by the food pass, Bautista said.
