CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The city government is currently establishing a Temporary Isolation, Treatment & Monitoring Facility (TITMF) for the management of the C
ovid-19 pandemic.

This developed after a thorough mapping of probable persons under monitoring and persons under investigation was conducted in the city’s 35 barangays.

With the identification of PUIs and PUMs, the city is now taking the next step of containing the Covid-19 contagion.

One of the TITMF facility is the building in the newly-built civic center which has 22 well-ventilated rooms.

PUMs, and PUIs with mild symptoms and whose home environment cannot support isolation can be temporarily housed for quarantine or isolation in the said facility.

It was also stated that PUMs and PUIs will be isolated there for 14 days and will be provided with food and their needed medical attention.

Patients can be discharged from the isolation facility once asymptomatic. Patients then should practice home quarantine for another 14 days before being issued a certificate of completion of isolation by the City Health Office.

Cases with signs of severe pneumonia and co-morbidities will be referred and transferred to the Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital in the city and at the Diosdado Macapagal Memorial Hospital in Guagua town.

Meanwhile, the Central Screening Facility in Barangay Sto. Nino and Malpitic Phase 2 are continuously doing their assessment on the fever cases in the Rural Health Units to identify additional possible PUMs and PUIs.

The said initiative, along with the other measures of the city, is being taken to prevent re-infection and spread of Covid-19 in this capital city.

Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago said with the support of his constituency, the city government is utilizing all of its resources to address the needed medical attention; food provision for the identified PUMs and PUIs, elderly, and indigent families; and, financial assistance to the indigents and senior citizens.

He said the city government also conducts regular sanitation and disinfection of public roads, buildings and barangays; holds regular surveillance and monitoring; mounts tightened border control to ensure the peace and order; and perks-up security of every Fernandino.
