City Government of San Fernando continues to provide free shuttle services to workers—Fernandino or not—who are reporting for work amidst the implementation of the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine where public transportation system is still prohibited.
On May 18, 2020, the City Government, through the City Public Order and Safety Coordinating Office, launched the “Libreng Sakay” dispatching two buses from the city’s fleet and two others from its partner company, Genesis Transport Service, Inc. to render services to workers.
Each bus can accommodate at least 25 passengers even when social distancing and other infection control measures are being observed.
Apart from these buses, four E-Jeepneys of the City also continue to provide free transport services to workers.
The “Libreng Sakay” will run everyday from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm during the implementation period of MECQ in the city.
