OLONGAPO CITY – Twenty-four confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease were registered in just one day, bringing the total to 473 as confirmed by Mayor Rolen Paulino, Jr., Thursday.
The new cases are three from Barangay East Bajac-Bajac, three from Barangay Asinan, two from Barangay New Kababae, two from Barangay West Bajac-Bajac, and one each from barangays Barretto, Mabayuan, Kalaklan, New Cabalan, New Kalalake, and Gordon Heights.
Seven seniors ranging in age from 60 to 72 were also among the new cases: three from Barangay Barretto, two from Barangay Asinan, and one each from barangays New Kalalake and East Bajac-Bajac.
An 81–year–old male patient died on Thursday due to hypovolemic shock, massive upper gastro intestinal bleeding, probable bleeding peptic ulcer disease, community acquired pneumonia – moderate risk of Covid-19, Paulino noted.
The Sept. 24 update said 19 patients are listed recovered after finishing their 14–day quarantine bringing the total number of recoveries to 239. It also said 215 active cases, 41 suspect cases, one probable case and 19 deaths.
