OLONGAPO CITY – Nine new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease, including two children, were reported here Wednesday.
Mayor Rolen Paulino, Jr., chair of the city inter-agency task force, said the young cases of Covid-19 a both girls, aged 8 and 10, from Barangay New Cabalan and Barangay Mabayuan, respectively.
The 8-year–old was among five close contacts in one household of a Covid-19 patient who visited from Las Pinas. Three of them are females aged 18, 28, and 52, and one male aged 27. All asymptomatic, they are reported to be in stable condition.
Two cases from Barangay East Bajac-Bajac, a 68-year-old male and a 47–year-old female in one household were exposed to a Covid-19 patient. Both are in stable condition.
Another case from East Bajac-Bajac was 53-year-old male who is now admitted in a city hospital.
Paulino said that as of Aug. 26, Olongapo City has a total of 151 confirmed cases 76 of which are active, 69 recoveries, and six deaths.
