CABANATUAN CITY – Five more residents, including two health workers, tested positive of the coronavirus disease, raising the number of confirmed cases here to 186 as of Thursday, according to the city information and tourism office.
A 38-year-old female health worker from Barangay Quezon District here had not traveled anywhere except to the hospital she was working in but she developed cold and fever and was confirmed positive in a swab test on Sept. 8, according to the local health office
The second health worker is a 30-year-old male from Barangay Aduas Norte who got cold and cough.
Both symptomatic, they were admitted in a quarantine facility.
The other new Covid-19 cases included a 28-year-old unemployed male resident of Barangay Dimasalang, an 18-year-old male from Barangay Bangad, and a 27-year-old male employee who had traveled to Manila from Barangay Barrera, per CITO report.
Of the total cases recorded, 154 have recovered, 26 are active, and six have died.
The city government enjoins the public to continue observing minimum health standards against Covid-19.
