BALANGA CITY — Four health workers were among the five new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease in Bataan that increased the number of patients inflicted with the deadly virus to 131, as per report of the provincial health office Sunday.
The new cases on the second day of the modified enhanced community quarantine are those of a 33-year–old female and a 33-year–old male from Balanga City, a 41-year–old female from Dinalupihan, and a 42-year-old female from Orion, all of them health workers.
The fifth is a 34-year–old woman from Morong, the first recorded case in the mountain town.
PHO chief Dr. Rosanna Buccahan said two more recovered, raising the number of recoveries to 55. Number of deaths from the virus remained at six.
The new recoveries are a 4-year–old girl from Pilar and a female health worker, 61, from Mariveles.
Of 2,347 who undertook Covid–19 test, 1,685 were found negative while 536 are still waiting for laboratory results.
